CALCEM® is a lime paint that can be custom colored by the addition of various lime-proof pigments. The lime proof palette includes many pigments, some known since the beginning of time and others more recent but with a long standing reputation as reliable color pigments. UV rays fade some colors more than others. The best option for exterior walls are iron oxide pigments which come in a variety of tonalities and provide excellent lightfastness. Once the paint is applied, a natural process induced by carbon dioxide in the air will gradually change the character, causing it to acquire a beautiful, luminescent appearance. With time, the exterior walls will also develop a soft weathered patina. CALCEM® lime paint is a two-part material, Part ‘A’ and Part ‘B’. CALCEM® can provide the Part A already colored.
